Dasher

Dasher is a Placed Siberian Husky

This is Dasher

He is a neutered Male, 5 years old, Housetrained, Crate Trained, Lead Trained, has Obedience training, good with Children, good with Large Dogs, good with Small Dogs, has Rabies vaccinations, has DHLPP vaccinations, on Heartworm preventative.

"Dasher" -- Full bred Siberian Husky (no AKC paper). Neutered male. 60 lb. Updated vaccinations. Very intelligent, fast learner, high energy. Loves to run and chews a lot when bored, plays fetch and jumps hoop. Has had group and private training. Has learned leash manners, basic obedience like sit, down, stay, come, roll over, heel, No! Out! No more! Quiet!. Friendly toward people and other dogs. Previously had resource guarding of toys and leash/collar resistance, but were mostly corrected with help of professional trainer, and has now learned leave it, drop it. He has gone through the challenging stage of puppy training. Trainer said, “He is a good dog, he now knows rules and boundaries, but that must be maintained by the handler(s)” He needs a firm handler with leadership. He is maturing from puppyhood into adolescence. He is confident and has a happy disposition. His daycare loves him, says he is the sweetest Husky there. Great with cold weather, not so good in very hot weather. Rare for a Husky, he’s not keen on digging or running away from home and is not a barker.
We are older and recently developed hip and knee problems, and our yard is too small. He needs a lot of exercise and a big open space to run in as well as loving humans yet strong handler(s). Neighbors love him. We have no other dog or cat at home, but he plays very well with big and small dogs in dog parks. He's good with older children, but not sure about little kids. He lets them pass on walks with no issue, but has never interacted with them, so it's subject to evaluation. He should make a great companion with another dog and a great jogging/hiking partner. Questions welcome.
