HobbitHobbit is an Available Husky Mix This entry has expired and the information may no longer be current This is Hobbit He is a neutered Male, 4 years old, Housetrained, good with Children, good with Small Children, good with Large Dogs, good with Small Dogs, has Rabies vaccinations, has DHLPP vaccinations, microchipped.Name: Hobbit Breed: Husky Age: 2 years Neutered Male Hobbit was recently returned to our rescue after a few months with an adoptive family. This information was provided by the adopter: He is fostered in Sacramento Ca. Hobbit was found roaming the streets and put in a shelter, then a foster placement, then a home with us. Other dogs are okay, but no cats because of his high prey drive. He loves children and will tolerate lots of snuggles. He would love to be part of a big family or one with other dogs (he likes a pack). He pulls on the leash, but shows improvements. We were told to not leave him alone in the backyard because he can jump a high fence. It is obvious that he has had trauma with male-bodied humans and is very nervous around them. He prefers female owners. The main challenge with Hobbit is that he has severe separation anxiety. He has chewed and bent two metal crates and one of them was steel. We have only had to leave him for very short periods (1-3 hours). He has only been destructive (chewing up things) when his anxiety gets the best of him and he is left alone. Otherwise he doesn’t make trouble. He will need constant attention from a human or pack. He is very loving, he snuggles and asks for affection. He is generally a wonderful dog, but needs far more care than my family can provide. We are sad to let him go. He will mostly follow you around the house so he is not alone, and he will follow the rules to stay out of the kitchen or dining room while we eat. On my work days, he lays on his bed and is quiet and calm. He is house-trained and we have had zero accidents.
