This is Jasper

He is a neutered Male, 11 years old, Housetrained, has Rabies vaccinations, has DHLPP vaccinations, on Heartworm preventative, microchipped, has Papers.

About: Jasper is a male neutered pure bred husky (says a dog DNA test), approximately 9 years old in excellent health and weighing 65lbs. He has a white and agouti (black + tan) coat, and blue eyes. He is a great runner/hiker, and does well off leash with treats/clicker. He is extremely affectionate with people, loves to snuggle next to you on couch or bed; I’ve had multiple huskies and never one who actually wants to snuggle like this boy does.

Ideal home: someone who enjoys long walks/an active lifestyle, backyard/space to enjoy outside, preferably experience with the breed, and a home without other pets (or someone who feels very comfortable/experienced training him to harmoniously live with others).

Background: We adopted him from a shelter in 2017, at the time he was emaciated, his coat was in bad condition and he was very anxious. He had shown food and fear aggression towards other dogs. We worked with a trainer, and were able to have a harmonious household with him and our other female husky by separating them around feeding and preventing other triggers. A year ago, we had a baby and Admittedly, we have been more lax with preventing issues since we have been preoccupied with the baby. I have recently changed work and am working 12+ hour shifts. In short, we are unable to provide the pack leadership and exercise he needs and deserves. We have thought about this situation extensively and are not making this lightly, we take full responsibility for not being able to provide him the home he deserves right now and will be diligent to find him a home with a pack leader who is able to provide the environment he needs. We feel awful that we are no longer that home, but want to do what is right for this sweet boy to receive the love and attention he needs. Please feel free to message us with any questions.
